"Beach to Beach" - Andorra Trail - July 2017

Andorra Trail - best experience of my life!

If you love to ride horses and have a spirit of adventure then you have to do this trail, from the coast to Andorra at 2600 meters, 350 km in 11 days. It´s a challenging trip, lots of walking down steep hills, 8 hours riding every day, weather going from 35 degrees to zero and snow. We had plenty of fast gallops on the superbly fit horses, rode through magical mountain scenery, slept in rural hotels, mountain refuges, tents and even in a church! Rudi, the owner of Panorama Trails, guides the trail and has an amazing knowledge of the route, taking you up and down over 13000 meters of altitude, over mountain passes, through woods and fields, along tracks and tiny paths.

En-route we stopped at some amazing picnic sites, swam in lakes and rivers and camped in wild and beautiful places. At each stop the wonderful Dani, our support driver, was there to meet us with the campsite all set up, paddocks and food ready for the horses and a very welcome cold beer for us. The food and wine was quite outstanding, much of it cooked on camping stoves and often eaten in a mountain refuge in front of a roaring fire. Every day was completely different, each more wonderful than the one before. Our last night was unsupported camping at 2400 meters in Andorra, everything carried by the horses who are amazingly strong and never get tired.

This is my second time with Panorama Trails and they are the very best, superbly well organised, lovely friendly, efficient and helpful people and above all it´s such good fun. The only problem was trying to come to terms with real life after the trail was over.

If you want the experience of a lifetime then go, you won´t regret it

Fresh & Saltwater - Mountain & Sea Trail - July 2017

Had an absolutely fantastic holiday at Panorama Trails. Think about a perfect horse holiday: great, kind-harted great-spirited and amazingly fit horses (rockstars!) which will carry you anywhere: over rocks, rivers and the smallest paths. They are absolutely amazing: beautiful, sweet and looking very happy. Next to this there was the awesome guidance of Nacho who has a exceptional way with horses and a good sense of adventure smile-emoticon:). Not to be forgotten there was the driver Dani who made sure we could enjoy the most perfect lunches at the stops and was always there to help everybody (and pour you some extra cava!) with a big smile. The hotels were small, family owned businesses where we again got amazing, home-cooked dinners. How Panorama Trails runs this all, so perfectly organised, smooth and kind, it is a miracle. I absolutely would recommend their trips to everybody. But be warned: you might end up taking home any of their amazing horses or be spoiled for the re st of your life with the best memory of a horse holiday ever. I know I have. I miss them already smile-emoticon:) Great thanks to Nacho, Dani and Daniela. See you next time!

Bandit Trail - June 2017

First of all I would like to thank the whole organisation team and specially our most perfect and experienced guide Denise as well as our very helpful trail assistant Manel for getting my first trail with Panorama-Trails unforgettable!

This Trail of Bandits was absolutely extraordinary and exciting.

The most beautyful landscape was sensational as well as diversified and we had endless rides in unspoiled nature. On most parts of the trail we had an amazing view to and from the table mountains.

The accommodations have been perfectly selected by Panorama-Trails and are located in peaceful places like small and quite middle age villages, in the country side and/or on place with extraordinary view on the top and at the edge of the table mountains. Most of the accommodations were simple but cosy, clean and offering delicious traditional Catalan dishes – really nothing to complain about!

The horses all were in very well condition, very safe and well behaved. If you decide to ride a trail you should not forget that the horse you will ride is trained to walk in the line and in the herd. Of course you cannot compare with a horse you always ride alone.

The bridles and saddles were well-kept and in perfect condition. My saddle was extremely good and comfortable almost like a sofa. Up-front I was really afraid about riding many hours a day without having that experience but luckily I had really NO problems at all!

My summary… a fabulous trail, professional and really perfect organised, starting with booking till whole realisation of the trail.

For sure I will ride my next trail with Panorama-Trails again as there are several other trails to discover.

See you soon again!

Stefan

Fresh & Saltwater - Mountain & Sea Trail - June 2017

Thank you to Nacho and the incredible Panorama Trails horses for a magical week in the mountains of the Pyrenees on the Fresh and Saltwater Trail. While we thought it would be a fantastic holiday what you delivered was way beyond my expectations: a tenacious, sure-footed, big-hearted, and beautiful Pura Raza Española took me safely up and down steep, winding narrow paths, jumped over rocks as if part-goat, waded through rivers, unhesitatingly took to deep waters to swim with me, clip clopped confidently through alleyways in ancient towns and flew fleet of foot across wild plains. Utter heaven. Nacho was an exceptional guide - his compassion, fun and great recontouring, together with the great hospitality at our hostels and hotels each evening and unbelievable lunches at beautifully set tables that had been conjured into the middle of nowhere by Om made this a holiday of a lifetime. I am already trying to plan another trip. Thank you. Especially to El Bubba!
